Confidence in the animals

is a criterion of many which is necessary in order to ensure  harmony with one another.

Animals already accompany me my whole life; but how did I come to cat breeding?

Like so many breeders before the Maine Coon aroused my interest and was my preference when visiting diverse exhibitions. Thus gradually Maine Coon neuters moved in. The impressive appearance was not new to me, however I became acquainted with the unique unmistakable character of this breed by parting their live. Now it was clear to me: I want to breed these marvellous cats.

Then, 2 years later something great happend, the founder of my breeding was born!

In the mean time it meant learning, learning and again learning. Not every breeder is lucky enough to have a diligent breeder at their side. Waltraud Novak (Athabaske's Maine Coons) takes no half things - do either completely or nothing at all.That's the way everything works with her. Trough this I was to go. I owe her all my up to day knowlege today and also in the future there is still a lot to learn from her. Thank you Waltraud for your patience and trust in me.  

As a matter of principle

All my cats are tested for relevant diseases before being used for the breeding process. Therefore I withhold any direct remarks in regard to the tests of my cats. If the animals where not completly healthy they would - from a logical consquequence - not be used for breeding. For informations and inquiries you may contact me with pleasure at any time.

Because I also breed white cats I think it is importand  the babies have an audiometrical test. Deafness on one or both sides can only be reliably recognised by the brain-stem audiometry (BEAR - brainstem auditory evoked response). This is an electric diagnostic test which measures the reaction of the hearing to accustical impulses.

It's everybody's right to know wether his kitten is deaf or not.

Breeding signifies selection - with heart, mind and responsibility. Otherwise it would be only multiplying.
